Beverage manufacturers are looking for ways to make their products more competitive and stand out on shelves. Labrada Nutrition, a leading maker of nutrition supplements, shakes and bars, has turned to innovative packaging solutions to achieve this goal.
Labrada Nutrition will begin packing its Lean Body Protein Shakes in Tetra Pak’s Tetra Prisma Aseptic 330 mL carton. Tetra Prisma Aseptic with DreamCap has a unique eight-sided shape and a resealable screw cap designed especially for on-the-go products like nutrition shakes. It’s the perfect package for beverages that can be enjoyed anywhere.
Labrada Nutrition was founded by pro bodybuilding Hall of Famer Lee Labrada to empower people with nutritional products and the knowledge they need to get into great shape and be healthy for life. Unlike competing shakes, Labrada Lean Body shakes contain zero sugar.
Previously using plastic bottles exclusively, Labrada researched packaging options and found that launching Tetra Pak cartons would allow them to achieve greater profit margins, and would make the product more competitive by lowering its price point.
“At the end of the day, it’s all about reaching as many customers as we can,” says Lee Labrada. “Launching in Tetra Prisma Aseptic cartons has lowered our costs, allowing us to pass savings on to the consumer. And the design of the packaging really helps our product stand out.”
Like all other Tetra Pak cartons, the Tetra Prisma Aseptic carton is designed with the environment in mind: it is recyclable and composed of 70 percent paper on average. The cartons also have a low carbon footprint throughout their entire life cycle because they are lightweight, compact and made mainly of a renewable resource: paper from selectively harvested, regrown trees.
