Michael Mapes is CEO of Exal Corporation, a global leader in premium aluminum packaging primarily serving the aerosol and beverage industries and based in Youngstown, Ohio. He joined EXAL as CEO in January 2016. Prior to EXAL, Mapes held senior leadership roles across various international businesses at industrial packaging global leader, Greif Inc. Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company as well as with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). Mapes graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He attended executive education at Harvard Business School (GMP) and at London Business School (SEP). He also is a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO).
