Keystone Folding Box Co. has  come out with a line of secondary packaging options for injectable pharma products. Available in a variety of tailored features and in both all-paperboard and plastic-hybrid formats, solutions are available for prefilled syringes, auto-injector pens, vials and ampoules.

The Product Inspection Group of Mettler Toledo, manufacturer of product inspection systems for the food and pharmaceutical industries, has moved into a new facility in Pasco County, Fla. The Group will house four business units in the 270,000 square feet space.

X-Rite Incorporated and Pantone LLC have appointed Ondrej Kruk to the role of president. Kruk will lead the continued expansion of Pantone and X-Rite’s product and solution portfolio beyond color to material appearance. 

The investment extends Duravant’s material handling product portfolio with in-process conveying solutions and strengthens the company’s integration and automation capabilities.

Berlin Packaging with Bruni Glass has acquired H. Erben Ltd., an England-based supplier of closures, packaging and packaging equipment with strength in the food and drinks sectors. Erben brings operations in South Africa, in California with its California Capsules business, and operates TheBottleJarStore.co.uk for convenience quantities.

NJM, a ProMach product brand, introduces the Dara SX-310-RDL aseptic filling and closing machine for sterilized vials with RayDyLyo caps. This system eliminates the crimping required with traditional aluminum closures to simplify the packaging operation and speed throughput, while offering fast and easy changeovers and new container size set-ups.

Pregis LLC introduces VR training for protective packaging equipment and material selection. The company provides training support for its systems, as well as written materials. However, with ecommerce, coupled with retailers fulfilling through a variety of channels, it is not feasible to provide face-to-face training at all locations.
