Cheez-It® Snap’d®, Cheez-It® Puff’d® and Club® Crisps, have reduced the amount of plastic used in their packaging (compared to the same volume last year), while maintaining the same amount of product in each package.
At full capacity, the facility will recycle nearly 90 million pounds of plastic waste per year, enough to encircle the globe in pallet wrap more than 135 times. It is expected to employ nearly 200 people.
The move is one of few leadership changes in the company's 121-year history, including when the Schottland family purchased APC from the Kardon family in 1986.
Utilizing Amcor’s AmFiber™
Matrix recycle-ready breathable wrap, Fromagerie Milleret’s new paper packaging solution is recyclable in existing paper streams, without compromising the quality or integrity of the product itself.
This addition is poised to make a substantial difference in Biopax's on-the-go deli and quick-serve restaurant solutions for the UK and Ireland markets.
Expanding their circular approach to plastic, Duo will manufacture shrink film for food and beverage outer packaging using Oceanix™ Green Plastics, made from 98% maritime waste such as fishing nets and ropes.
The supply agreement would enable Amcor to purchase SYNDIGO™ rPE resin, manufactured at NOVA Chemicals’ first mechanical recycling facility in Connersville, Indiana, which is projected to be in operation as early as 2025.
The concept is intended for food producers and fillers who have up to now been using pre-made spout pouches and will be presented for the first time at the international trade fair Prod&Pack in Lyon, France, from November 21 to 23, 2023 (hall 6, booth J75).
