Expanding their circular approach to plastic, Duo will manufacture shrink film for food and beverage outer packaging using Oceanix™ Green Plastics, made from 98% maritime waste such as fishing nets and ropes.
The supply agreement would enable Amcor to purchase SYNDIGO™ rPE resin, manufactured at NOVA Chemicals’ first mechanical recycling facility in Connersville, Indiana, which is projected to be in operation as early as 2025.
The concept is intended for food producers and fillers who have up to now been using pre-made spout pouches and will be presented for the first time at the international trade fair Prod&Pack in Lyon, France, from November 21 to 23, 2023 (hall 6, booth J75).
