Coconut Bliss, the plant-based ice cream company out of Eugene, Oregon wanted a change. As part of the company’s recent rebrand, Coconut Bliss opted to create eco-friendly pint packaging, the first of its kind.
The pint cup packaging is made with plant-based bio-resin polyethylene, sourced from the husks of sugar cane, as an alternative to petroleum-based polyethylene resin material.
Evergreen Packaging provided the new renewable ice-cream board packaging, eco-friendly paper-based packaging made with an innovative renewable coating derived from sugarcane. The product is both renewable and can be used in a variety of food service and retail food-grade packaging applications with varying shelf life needs, including ice cream with its specific controlled environment requirements.
