The two specialty film producers will now be known as Charter Next Generation (CNG). The comprehensive rebrand reflects a full integration of the two companies that merged in April 2019.
Berlin Packaging has acquired Consolidated Bottle Corporation, a leading packaging supplier in Canada, which significantly expands Berlin Packaging’s footprint in Canada. Following the acquisition, the company will be known as Consolidated Bottle Corporation, a Berlin Packaging company.
J.M. Smucker will sell its Crisco business to B&G Foods in an all-cash deal valued at about $550 million, as it focuses on pet food, coffee and snacks, the companies said. Smucker, which is looking to exit the U.S. baking category, said the deal also includes its oils and shortening business outside of the United States.
