Paso Robles winery launches next generation of packaging

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, the pioneer in Paso Robles of ultra-premium wines based on Bordeaux varieties, revealed a new line of bottles and labels that debuted with its 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. JUSTIN’s other signature red wines now feature labels silk-screened directly onto custom-molded bottles using organic inks, real gold detail for JUSTIN’s iconic wine, ISOSCELES, and platinum for the limited production ISOSCELES Reserve.
The cider makers at the Angry Orchard Cider Company have been hard at work on a new project – The Cider House Collection – and have just put the finishing touches on a new batch of specialty ciders that they're releasing nationally. Angry Orchard Iceman, inspired by traditional Quebec ice ciders, and Angry Orchard Strawman, a farmhouse cider, are the result of experimentation with apple varieties, wood-aging techniques and fermentation methods. Both styles will be hitting shelves across the country. Both bottle feature edgy, bold designs to captures the unique quality of the product.

Unox brand soups now offer seven varieties in one-liter catons from SIG Combibloc

A range of soups from the traditional Unox brand is now available in aseptic carton packs for the first time. Unilever’s Unox-brand soups, in SIG Combibloc’s combibloc Standard 1,000 ml carton packs, are now available in the Netherlands. They represent an innovation on the Dutch soup market, where most ready-to-eat soups have previously been available only in food metal cans and pouches.
This summer, when Coke Zero fans want to pop the top on their favorite beverage, they no longer need to consult the hands of the clock. The brand is now being made available in an option without caffeine.
North American tea company, Tejava, debuts tea leaf sculpted PET bottle

Crystal Geyser Water Company's Tejava® Premium Iced Tea is now available in a proprietary 18 oz. PET bottle. The stunning new bottle features a unique package design incorporating a hand-sculpted, tea leaf motif with three-dimensional qualities, giving the impression that the bottle is wrapped in tea leaves. Distribution of the new bottle will begin in May 2013.
Upbeat drinks use decorative sleeves to protect against UV light degradation

Special sleeves incorporating UV protection from CCL Decorative Sleeves are being used to protect and enhance the quality of a new range of high protein dairy drinks, as well as creating a distinctive on-shelf presence for the brand.
Integrated brand design agency Blue Marlin has created a brand platform via packaging for start-up gin company, Warner Edwards. Their premium gin, distilled on a Northamptonshire farm, became available to purchase online at the end of last year, and has just launched in retail outlets in the United Kingdom.
