ORBIS, a subsidiary of Menasha Corp., has acquired Hinkle Manufacturing of Perrysburg, Ohio. Hinkle operates a thermoforming plant in Dearborn, Mich., where it produces trays and other plastic components, in addition to serving the automotive market with highly engineered custom dunnage for part protection.
ProAmpac has acquired Gateway Packaging Co., a flexible packaging and technical products company headquartered in White House, Tenn. Gateway is one of the largest pet food packaging manufacturers in North America, offering multi-wall bags, stand-up pouches, small- and large-format quad-seal bags, box pouches, roll stock, treat bags and hybrid bags.
The Independent Carton Group (ICG) has announced that FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, is the recipient of its Supplier of the Year Award for 2017. The award was presented at the 21c Museum Hotel in Cincinnati during the ICG’s general membership meeting.
Tekni-Plex, Inc. has acquired Dunn Industries, Inc., manufacturer of specialty extrusion tubing for medical device applications. Its product line is a complements the microextrusion tubing manufactured by Tekni-Plex’s Natvar business unit.

Bain Capital Private Equity has acquired World Wide Packaging LLC, a leading provider of cosmetic packaging components, plastic tubes and formulation/filling technologies. Simultaneous with Bain Capital’s purchase of World Wide Packaging, the firm has agreed to purchase a Chinese cosmetics packaging manufacturer and plans to merge the two companies to form a fully integrated solutions provider.
