Full-wrap label consortium looks into positive results from trial run delabeling

In a continued effort to generate and test solutions to the recycling stream issues surrounding full-wrap labels on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, during its August 2013 meeting, the consortium toured a recycling facility and reviewed test results from a trial run using delabeling equipment.
Carton Council recognized by California Product Steward Council for Coalition Building

The Carton Council of North America, a group of carton manufacturers united to deliver long term collaborative solutions in order to divert valuable cartons from the landfill, has been awarded the 2013 Bow and Arrow Award for Coalition Building by the California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC).
Evergreen Packaging kicks off biannual nationwide carton art competition

Evergreen Packaging announces the launch of the fall 2013 Made By Milk Carton Construction Contest, themed "Transportation." Schools across the United States can win up to $5,000 by having classroom teams design and construct creations made from empty school milk cartons, which students save from their school lunches. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2013.
Online event registration is now open for America Recycles Day, a national initiative of nonprofit Keep America Beautiful (KAB). This year’s America Recycles Day theme, “I Want To Be Recycled,” will help to educate people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being as well as motivate occasional recyclers to become everyday recyclers.
