Packaging design specialist Equator Design has named Matt Caldwell the new client services director, with responsibilities across the company’s Chicago, Ill., and new Cincinnati, Ohio, offices.

A former buying director with a major national retailer, Caldwell has had a long-standing client side involvement with Equator Design in the U.K. and brings more than 12 years of retail experience to the team. Previous roles include profit and loss responsibility, and he will bring extensive private brand development expertise from his roles to the U.S. market.

Caldwell will be based at the studio office in Chicago, which has been developed around the company’s under-one-roof model, combining client services with design, food styling, photography, reprographics and production. He will also have client services responsibility for the company’s new Cincinnati studio office, which is due to be operational later this year.
