Specialty packaging and dispensing provider, Comar, has announced the opening of its state-of-the-art Innovation Design Center (“ID Center”) in Buena, NJ. From Comar’s beginnings in healthcare in 1949, the Company has benefited from its longstanding reputation for developing creative, industry-compliant packaging and dispensing solutions and has expanded into additional markets by providing innovative design solutions and quality driven manufacturing.
“The ever-changing consumer landscape and rapid pace of technological advancements has led to an increasingly competitive environment for our customers,” says Comar CEO Mike Ruggieri. “As a strategic partner, Comar not only has to provide superior quality and service day in and day out, but we also have to collaborate with our customers to understand their market opportunities and challenges in order to provide them with a creative package and supply chain solution that allows them to increase sales, reduce cost, and increase productivity. It sounds simple but each situation is very different so we rely on our proven IDWORKS® process that we tailor based on the success criteria for each opportunity.”
The ID Center was created with Comar’s customers in mind. It is outfitted with the latest design and simulation tools and technologies that allow customers to see concepts and touch and feel physical products manufactured on-site. The layout includes dedicated conference rooms and work spaces designed to encourage in-person or remote collaboration while maintaining confidentiality. The ID Center will house a team of top-tier industrial designers and a full complement of material, process, infrastructure, and automation engineers with an average of 27 years of experience. Comar’s cross-functional teams of marketing, industrial design, engineering, and manufacturing and full complement of injection molding and blow molding manufacturing platforms can be leveraged to provide creative solutions under any circumstances.
“We encourage our existing and potential customers to take advantage of our resources to help them unlock growth with their customers and in their end markets” says Ruggieri. “Relative to competitive offerings, we believe we are uniquely positioned to provide creative, outside-in driven marketing and design insights to improve shelf presence and package functionality, ensure speed to market with an eye on design for manufacturing and fewer hand offs between outside vendors, and ultimately deliver the products at the lowest total cost of ownership by foregoing design fees and unnecessary steps in the supply chain. By partnering with Comar, customers can expect a better outcome without any sacrifices.”
