Strategic design firm PWW, based in London and Seattle, has introduced its second craft beer: Super Jay Saison. The brand makes each beer in its series from the bottom up, starting with a characteristic logo and identity, then experimenting with different flavors and recipes to find a beer to match. The first batch was a classic American pale ale: a popular, modern beer with a poignant and hoppy flavor. The second beer is a French farmhouse-style ale with a light and rustic taste — Saison. The packaging design is linked to the French origin of the beer, using typography in an avant-garde style that communicates precision and symmetry, perfectly fitting to the sharp taste of the beer. A strong shandy will be the final beer in the craft series, which will be marketed and available to buy. www.popewainwrightwykes.com
