Berry Plastics (NYSE: BERY) is proud to announce it has recently received more industry accolades. Last week, the company announced it had earned the Flexible Packaging Association's 2016 Silver Sustainability Achievement Award. Now, they are celebrating four distinguished awards from the Flexographic Technological Association (FTA). These FTA awards are directly related the Company’s printing capabilities and technologies.

For 56 years, the Flexographic Technological Association has saluted flexography’s finest work with the most prestigious and long-running annual print competition of its kind. The entries were judged by degree of difficulty and level of execution.
 
Berry Plastics received the following individual awards:
  • Special Achievement Non-traditional Flexo in the process category - Hardee’s®  Middle East Batman versus Superman drink cup, which features ICONIC™, Berry Plastics’ breakthrough innovation of utilizing Indirect Flexographic printing to create true CMYK separations for round and non-round products.
  • Gold: narrow web, screen, film category - Too Tarts® Goo4You Gween Apple squeeze candy tube, which utilizes a unique screen printing process to create continuous high-quality spot and tonal range that gives the tube a fun, appealing look.
  • Bronze: narrow web, line, film category - Pure Sun Defense™ featuring Marvel’s® Avengers sunscreen tube, in which our printing experts used predominantly solid and line colors to create a fairly complex and realistic Avengers scene. 
  • Bronze: narrow web, line, film category - John Frieda® Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ shampoo tube, whereas the customer’s needs were executed with a very high degree of difficulty by employing differentiating color and texture to the tube for a more premium look and feel.
