The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) is pleased to announce that Overnight Labels of Deer Park, N.Y. has achieved SGP certification. Established in 1987, Overnight Labels is an award-winning printer specializing in custom printed shrink sleeves, neckbands, flexible film, stick packs, booklets, peel-back and piggy-back labels, IRC coupons, confectionary wrappers, clamshell inserts, pressure and non-pressure sensitive labels, rotary silkscreen, foil and tactile varnishes.
Overnight Labels has been at the forefront of sustainability for many years. Among numerous awards for excellence in printing, Overnight Labels is the winner of the 2015 Sustainable Packaging Awards presented by Beverage World and 2007 Environmental Excellence Award presented by the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA).
Don Earl, president, Overnight Labels states, "Since we've been printing flexographically, we have always made the effort to embrace new technology and run our shop efficiently. The SGP program gave us a framework and the ability to quantify what we've always done and will continue to do. Running an efficient facility is as important as printing on compostable or recycled materials."
"Overnight Labels is a model for other members of FTA. Becoming SGP certified ties all the company's sustainability accomplishments together and further validates its efforts," comments Doreen M. Monteleone, principal, D2 Advisory Group representing FTA and SGP board member. "FTA is very pleased to have yet another member certified by SGP."
