TricorBraun, one of the world’s leading providers of rigid packaging and components, has won both gold and silver awards in the rigid/semi-rigid plastic category of the 2015 PAC Global Leadership Awards.
The PAC Packaging Competition is the longest running competition in North America, conducted by PAC (the Packaging Consortium), a not-for-profit corporation that includes more than 2,100 members throughout the packaging industry. The Global Leadership Awards represent industry-based peer recognition for excellence in all formats of packaging, in branding and graphic design, in technical aspects and in sustainability.
“Being recognized for excellence in design by our industry peers is especially gratifying,” says Keith Strope, TricorBraun’s chief executive officer in announcing the awards.
TricorBraun was awarded the gold award in the rigid/semi-rigid plastic category for its Drink Blocks packaging. Drink Blocks are bottles that hold healthy drinks for children and, when empty, become building blocks that children can connect together to build with. Each block carries a word in both Spanish and English, teaching language as well as creative play.
The Silver Award in the category was won by the 3MPatch Plus Primer 4-in-1 package designed by TricorBraun. The unique tube not only contains the plaster and primer product, but also features a flat, solid end that serves as a putty knife and includes a sanding pad on its closure, creating a package that also serves as a tool.
