McDonald’s is testing a double-walled fiber hot cup in approximately 2,000 restaurants, primarily on the West Coast. The objective is to gauge customer acceptance, operational impact and overall performance of what would be a more environmentally sustainable solution. The polystyrene cups are used to serve hot beverages and are reportedly not commonly recycled.
