Traditionally packaged in a bag-in-box, Plantation brand natural raw sugar will be the first product to go to market in a new “resealable” carton. The package is composed of a poly-coated paperboard carton with attached flexible film header with press-to-close zipper. A 3lb format was chosen with re-use in mind, and the resealable feature means consumers don’t need to transfer the contents to a separate container. Eliminating the inner bag allows the package to hold 40 percent more product, maximizing cube utilization.
