Offering a museum-like, 360-degree view that conveys the premium nature of the product inside, the new packaging for Jawbone also uses 68 percent less plastic than the original.

Aliph, a maker of personal technology products, has introduced packaging for its Jawbone Icon Bluetooth headset that uses 68 percent less plastic than the original. Offering a museum-like, 360-degree view that conveys the premium nature of the product inside, the packaging has transitioned from 126 grams of polycarbonate to 40 grams of copolyester; the new material is recyclable and offers high rigidity, which makes the package more durable at retail. “We think it’s a great statement for our brand,” says Hosain Rahman, founder and CEO of Aliph. “We continue to preserve that premium experience while creating something that is sustainable in its architecture.”
