An innovative 275mL PET bottle that contains natural water and a cap that holds matcha green tea powder.

Oi Och Matscha ready-to-drink green tea, from Japanese tea brand Ito En, is brewed from prime first flush green tea leaves, the first harvest of spring. The brisk, refreshing drink is all natural, unsweetened and contains “catechin” tea antioxidants. This innovative approach to packaging features a 275mL PET bottle that contains natural water and a cap that holds matcha green tea powder. When the cap is turned counter-clockwise, the powder falls into the bottle, which is shaken to mix it with the water, then served. The cap is dark green, allowing it to shut out more light than conventional white caps, and has a special mechanism that prevents oxygen and humidity invasion. (photo courtesy GNPD, www.gnpd.com)
