Just before Mother's Day in the UK (March 14, 2010), Marks & Spencer introduced its own brand of chocolates to be given as “the gift that keeps on giving.” Milk Chocolate Praline Butterflies are packaged in a paper bag infused with Candytuft flower seeds. The paper should be planted from March to May and will bloom from June to August. Plus, the flower seeds complement the form of the chocolates. Candytuft, or Iberis umbellate Rose Cardinal, flowers are known for their ability to attract British butterflies. This launch is part of the retailer’s Plan An initiative to reduce food packaging by 25 percent by 2012.
