Brenton, a product brand of ProMach, will debut the RPX-SW series of modular robotic palletizers integrated with an Orion automatic stretch wrapper at ProMat 2019 on April 8-11 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The RPX-SW series gives small- to medium-sized businesses the opportunity to quickly and easily advance from manual to automated robotic palletizing and stretch wrapping with a compact footprint solution. Pre-engineering and modularity lowered the relative cost of the RPX-SW compared to custom systems. ProMat Booth #S412
There are four palletizer configurations in the RPX-SW series, including two with automated pallet handling modules. These robotic palletizers require minimal floor space — anywhere from 200 to 350 sq. ft., depending on the configuration. RPX-SW palletizers are rated at up to 14 cases per minute. The RPX-SW robot at ProMat loads packaging directly on a slip sheet positioned on the stretch wrapper turntable. In this configuration, the RPX-SW offers the flexibility of being both a slip-sheet unitizer and/or a palletizer with the addition of a pallet dispenser module.
A quick connect and disconnect feature allows RPX-SW robotic cells to be easily disassembled, moved, and redeployed as needs change. Each palletizer comes standard with two pack patterns pre-programmed. New pack patterns are easily entered via touchscreen HMI.
Brenton integrates the robotic cells with the Orion FA, an automatic stretch wrapping system with integrated conveyor turntable. The Orion FA features an IntelleVue touchscreen HMI with a 10-inch screen. IntelleVue allows for fast changeover, quick trouble shooting, and improved load protection. This graphic user interface is geared for today’s multi-language workforce.
Orion Insta-Thread provides 260 percent pre-stretch for minimum film consumption. An electronic corner compensation system assures even tension on all parts of the load. This stretch wrapper is Category 2 safety rated and features structural- and plate-steel construction for long years of service.
