ChefsBest, a San Diego-based company that guides consumers to high quality foods in a category, recently announced that after testing by a panel of executive-level chefs, it has awarded O, That’s Good! Broccoli Cheddar Soup its Excellence Award.
The O, That’s Good! Broccoli Cheddar Soup was recognized by ChefsBest’s Certified Master Tasters for its rich flavor profile, notes of vegetable bouillon and low bitterness.
“To substantiate our award for market, brands must surpass specific quality standards for a particular category defined by our independent panel of Master Tasters. Per our Master Taster’s Quality Definition, a Broccoli Cheddar Soup should be rich with a moderate mouth weight and mouth coating. Vegetables should be moderately firm and not overly soft. Aroma and flavor profiles lead with broccoli and lactic tang with lower notes of celery, carrot, onion, garlic, black pepper, vegetable bullion. The appearance of the soup should be thick and moderately dark yellow color. O, That’s Good! Broccoli Cheddar Soup surpassed quality standards and is awarded the ChefsBest Excellence Award as a high-quality product,” said a ChefsBest representative.
“In our O, That’s Good! Broccoli Cheddar we’ve replaced some of the cheese with velvety butternut squash – increasing the number of veggies while keeping all of the rich flavor in every bite, and we are excited ChefBest approves of the taste too,” said Ashley White, Kraft Heinz brand manager. “Adding the ChefsBest Excellence Award to our packaging establishes the soup as a standout product for consumers and distinguishes its taste from other competitors on the market.”
The Best Taste Award is earned by only one national brand in each product category, signifying to both consumers and buyers that this product has secured the distinction as best tasting. When licensed, the Excellence Award allows a product to claim it surpasses quality standards established by independent, professional chefs.
