Amcor (amcor.com) has appointed Eric Roegner as president of Amcor Rigid Plastics. He will succeed Mike Schmitt in the role in mid-November. 

Roegner brings significant experience to the role, including 12 years of executive leadership with Arconic Inc., previously known as Alcoa Corp. Most recently, he was Executive vice president and group president of the Arconic Engineered Products and Solutions business. Earlier in his career, Roegner was a partner at McKinsey & Co.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering from Princeton University.
