The next staging of interpack, a leading international trade fair for the packaging sector and related processing industries, will take place May 7-13, 2020, at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
interpack 2020 will feature a completely redesigned South Entrance and a new Hall 1. The new building will replace the former Halls 1 and 2 in summer 2019. The new Hall 1 will have a capacity of 129,400 square feet, expanding the available hall space for interpack 2020 by 5,900 square feet compared to the previous hall. In addition to a new Hall 1, the new complex will have a foyer of about 22,600 square feet, with a 56-foot steeply pointed awning made from translucent glass fiber fabric with integrated LED lighting. It will have six meeting rooms and direct access to the Congress Center South. By the year 2030 Messe Düsseldorf will have invested a total of EUR $636 million from its own funds in the expansion and modernization of the exhibition center.
The suppliers’ trade fair “components – special trade fair by interpack” will again be held concurrently with interpack in 2020. After the very positive feedback at this year’s event, expansion options are being explored for 2020.
At the last staging of interpack in May 2017, a record 2,865 exhibitors showcased their latest technologies to about 170,500 visitors from 168 countries, with a record 74% coming from abroad. Three-quarters of the attendees had decision making authority.
Companies interested in exhibiting at interpack or components 2020 can register much earlier than in the past – at the end of 2017. The official registration deadline will be in spring 2019. Exact dates will be published at a later date.
