PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, owner and producer of the PACK EXPO trade shows, is pleased to announce that DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (DuPont) is a title sponsor of PACK gives BACK™. PACK gives BACK™ is one of the signature events of PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 (Nov. 2 – 5; McCormick Place, Chicago).
Featured entertainment at this year’s PACK gives BACK event is Jay Leno, world renowned comedian and formerly of The Tonight Show.
The event offers an opportunity for show registrants to collectively “give back” to a worthwhile cause. This year’s event will benefit K9s for Warriors, an organization dedicated to providing service dogs to military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress as a result of conflicts and war following 9/11.
“K9s for Warriors provides a valuable service to people that truly need assistance,” said Charles D. Yuska, PMMI President & CEO. “We are delighted to have DuPont’s support for PACK gives BACK, which allows the packaging and processing community to give back to an organization that helps our veterans.”
“DuPont is proud to support PACK gives BACK at this year’s PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO. This event offers packaging leaders the opportunity to network and do something worthwhile for those veterans who have served our country in so many selfless ways,” said William T. Cunningham, North American packaging manager, DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. “We look forward to supporting the K9s for Warriors program through this event. We are indebted to those veterans for their courage and commitment to protect the USA and our families.”
Tickets, on sale now for $100, include admission to Leno’s performance and a reception with beer, wine and light hors d’oeuvres. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to K9s for Warriors. The PACK gives BACK™ reception is open to PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 registrants and will be held Monday, Nov. 3 in the Grand Ballroom in the South Building of McCormick Place.
