Crown Aerosols and Speciality Packaging, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc. (crowncork.com), has relocated its Liverpool speciality packaging operations to a new facility in Trinity Park. Designed to serve customers across Europe, the facility features an optimized line layout that increases operation efficiencies and also includes a four-color printing line which allows for coating and printing processes to take place on-site and will further allow Crown to operate under more environmentally-friendly conditions.

“Our new, innovative plant in Liverpool offers a complete range of speciality packaging options that combine the functionality, aesthetics and economies of scale needed for our customers to prosper in a competitive market,” states David Harrison, vice president of CROWN Aerosols and Speciality Packaging Europe. “The facility is testament to the company’s global commitment to supporting the local economies in which it operates.”

The plant, which is accredited by the British Retail Consortium Global Standards, has the capacity to produce both drum-shaped and rectangular packaging in a range of sizes. Primarily focused on industrial packaging, the facility’s modernized equipment will also allow for Crown’s team of dedicated experts to produce food-grade containers. Most recently, Crown partnered with Casa de Alba, a family-owned Spanish company specializing in high-quality olive delicacies, to develop a new 500ml tin featuring a series of elegant designs that are now produced at the Liverpool site.

“Moving to a brand new factory enables Crown to continue to offer brands throughout Europe numerous possibilities to safely package their products while lending them a premium look with extraordinary shapes, sophisticated finishes and convenient solutions,” Harrison concludes.
