PMMI, owner and producer of the PACK EXPO family of trade shows, is pleased to announce PACK EXPO’s support, as a Platinum Sponsor, of the World Packaging Organisation’s (WPO) WorldStar Awards ceremony. WPO will present the awards Thursday, May 13, during interpack (Düsseldorf, Germany; May 8–14).
The WorldStar Awards event honors packaging award winners from competitions around the world, selecting winners from 249 submissions.

WPO selects the WorldStar Award recipients from 249 winners of best packaging competitions in 35 countries. The entries are judged in seven categories: beverage, electronics, food, health and beauty, household, pharmaceutical and medical, and other.
WPO will also recognize 3 special categories, President’s, Sustainability, and Marketing awards at the May 13 event.
“PACK EXPO is the North American destination for innovative processing and packaging technologies and concepts. We sponsor this event as a demonstration of our commitment to both,” adds Yuska.
The awards event will include a drawing for a trip for two attendees to PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 (McCormick Place, Chicago; Nov. 2–5), provided by PMMI.
PMMI expects the co-located PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 to draw 50,000 attendees to see over 2,000 exhibiting companies – with more than 1.1 million net square feet of exhibit space.
