J. Joseph Moynihan has been appointed to the position of executive vice president, Packaging Group of Philadelphia – based PaperWorks Industries, Inc. (www.paperworksindustries.com). Moynihan will report directly to the president & CEO, Mark Staton.
Moynihan will be responsible for all PaperWorks Industries packaging operations currently comprising Canada, the USA and Mexico. Moynihan will headquarter the Packaging Group in the Philadelphia corporate offices.
Most recently and since 2006, Moynihan was the CEO for the North American packaging operations of the Clondalkin Group in Philadelphia, with $500 million revenue from 17 manufacturing facilities in North America and Puerto Rico specializing in high value – added packaging products and services. Prior to this position, he was with Vulcan Materials Company in Birmingham, AL for 10 years as VP of business development and also as VP & controller. Before joining Vulcan, Moynihan was director of operations and business development for Tenneco Packaging’s international folding carton business.
Moynihan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and mathematics from James Madison University and an MBA from the University of Richmond.
