Resin manufacturerNova Chemicalshas developed Surpass HPs167-AB, a high-density polyethylene resin, for use in barrier-film structures and with 50% stronger moisture barrier strength.
The resin, which is for use in packages where moisture-barrier performance or stiffness is important, can meet either of two crucial customer needs: strength and sustainability. If a customer needs more strength in a package, film gauge can be maintained to increase barrier and stiffness. However, if a customer is more concerned with sustainability, film gauge can be reduced while retaining performance.
