PMMI, owner and producer of the Pack Expo family of trade shows, is pleased to announce Pack Expo has signed on as Platinum Sponsor of the World Packaging Organization’s (WPO) WorldStar awards ceremony.
WPO will present these “best-of-the-best” packaging awards on May 17, at a special event during Interpack 2011 held May 12-18, 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The honor recognizes the best packages among award-winners from competitions around the world.
“It’s an honor to be part of such a great event and to bring more attention to innovative packaging,” says Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO of PMMI.
WPO chooses the best packaging from among 278 entries for the WorldStar Awards. These entries, representing 30 countries, will be judged in seven categories: Beverage, Electronic, Food, Health & Beauty, Household, Pharmaceutical & Medical and “other” WPO will also present its President’s Award and Sustainability Awards at the May event.
The ceremony will also include a drawing for a PMMI-sponsored trip for two attendees to Pack Expo Las Vegas 2011 (September 26-28, Las Vegas Convention Center).
