New
lab to aide in adhesive research and application technology.
RS Industrial, Inc.(www.rsindustrial.com)
announces the creation of its Ross Scott Labs™ Division. The venture will focus on adhesive research
and application technology in order to meet emerging market needs, especially
in new energy and environmentally safe markets; provide industry-standard
testing and evaluation; generate white papers; and evaluate current products
for new applications to support customer requests.
“We already had the ability to test
many aspects of adhesives and tapes,” says Scott
Allen, CEO of RS Industrial. “ However, with the purchase of additional high end equipment, we are now
able to work with our supplier partners and customers to evaluate, develop,
test and validate customized solutions on a large or small scale. Ross Scott Labs is a continuation of our
vision to match today’s advanced adhesive technology with the needs of our
broadening customer base.”
Ross Scott Labs is able to evaluate
vital technical facets and properties of adhesives. Hot melt, waterborne,
PSA’s, engineering, electronic and structural adhesives are focus areas for the
lab.
“As substrates continue evolving to
meet the needs of new markets, pre-testing is a critical step to insure
effective customer trials,” says Debbie Nash-Makita,
lab manager and senior scientist. “This
all speeds the problem solving process and, hopefully, helps all parties
contain costs.”
As a growing, customer service focused
company, the new Ross Scott Labs Division can provide a rapid progression from
a customer’s specialized need to a testing sample. The ability to simulate a full product
development cycle will insure quick response to customer requests for unique
applications.
Ross Scott Labs will continue the
20-year legacy of RS Industrial’s commitment to its valued customers. “As an extension to our customer and
technical service departments, I am confident that the Lab will facilitate an
even stronger link between our marketing and sales groups,” says Allen.
