The new Winpak Portion Packaging, Inc. facility will be in Illinois.
As part of a $30 million expansion,Winpak Portion
Packaging, Inc.will be building a new manufacturing facility in Sauk Village, IL.
The new facility will be a short distance from the current South Chicago Heights, IL,
plant.
The state-of-the-art facility will be built on 28 acres and
will initially have
267,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse, printing,
and office space.
To support future anticipated growth, the facility will be
expandable to 615,000 square feet. It will also serve as the primary warehouse
and distribution center complete with rail service.
Construction is scheduled to start in April of 2011 with
occupancy in the last quarter of 2011. The plant is scheduled to become
operational in the first quarter of 2012.
