pleased to announce that company president, Jim Renda, has been elected to the
American Meat Institute’s (AMI) Board of Directors. The election was held at AMI’s fall 2012 Board
of Directors Meeting in Toronto, Ontario on October 5. Renda will serve a
three-year term, which commenced upon his election.
The board provides leadership and direction
for the Institute’s priorities and many ongoing issues that the meat and
poultry industry faces. Additionally as an AMI Director, Renda may be asked to
vote on any special Institute initiatives that may occur.
AMI is the country’s oldest and largest meat
and poultry trade association. Representing meat and poultry processors and
their suppliers, AMI advocates industry views, provides regulatory updates and
analysis, conducts scientific research, and offers other educational
information.
