Rum bottles use natural cork for closure.

3ZERO Ltd., of Trinidad and Tobago, is introducing 3ZERO Platinum Blend Rum, a truly Caribbean white rum with the extremely smooth and clean taste of a neutral spirit with characteristics similar to a vodka.

In order to create a unique and attractive package with a bold and engaging eye appeal and a prominent shelf appearance commensurate with the new spirit’s quality and taste, it engaged the services and global resources ofSaxco International, LLC(www.saxcointl.com), of Horsham, PA, long renowned for excellence in packaging for the wine and spirits industry.

According to Jerry Maya, regional sales manager for Saxco International who worked closely with 3ZERO Ltd. on the project, “Our role was to help create an innovative and distinctive look for this new premium rum while keeping within budgetary and time parameters. It is always exciting to successfully help bring a new product into the marketplace.”

To get the project under way, Saxco sourced and supplied an extra flint 750ml oval shaped bottle with a long neck and round shoulders from Piramal Glass, a reliable glass container manufacturer with production facilities in Flat River, Missouri. Piramal also silk screened the classic 3ZERO black logo type on the front of the bottle and provided the 12-bottle black shipping cartons with the 3ZERO logos in white.

In addition, Saxco called upon J.C. Ribeiro, of Mozelos, Portugal, a long-time trusted supply source in its vast global network, to supply the black plastic natural cork top with the 3ZERO logo screen printed in a circle on the top. The natural cork was treated with a special white spirits wash to assure that the smooth rich taste would remain fully preserved after bottling.

3ZERO Ltd. provided its own black, white and silver foiled self-adhesive pressure sensitive label which wraps totally around the bottle to complete its handsome overall appearance. Dr. Vian N. Kissoon, founder of 3ZERO Ltd., says that the newly minted platinum rum was the work of master blender Patrick Patel, who has more than 30 years experience in blending rums. “He searched the islands handpicking rums to arrive at this masterpiece blend.”
