Bud Light Platinum debuts.
The Bud Light Platinum beer, from Anheuser-Busch
InBev (ABI), launched on January 30 with two Super Bowl ads highlighting the
new product.Verallia North America (www.us.verallia.com), a leading producer of glass containers for the food
and beverage industries in the U.S., is a key supplier of the cobalt blue colored
bottles.
“Verallia North America is proud to
collaborate with ABI on the new, innovative Bud Light Platinum packaging,” says
Robert Shanteau, Verallia’s vice president of sales – beer. “We reacted quickly
to get the cobalt blue bottles produced in time to fill the supply pipeline
prior to the launch and we have continued to support the fast-paced growth of
this exciting new product.”
The eye-catching cobalt blue beer
bottle not only differentiates the product on the shelf and supports the brand
identity, but is also completely recyclable. Cobalt blue glass can be recycled
at unlimited levels in furnaces producing cobalt blue glass or at lower levels
in furnaces producing amber glass. In either case, if controlled properly, the
cobalt color of the recycled glass will not alter the quality or purity of the
new glass.
