Pouches are a line extension for the company from glass jars.
Smith Design,
the New Jersey/California based brand design firm, has created
the package design for Hain Celestial’s new Earth’s Best Baby Food
Purees. The purees come in resealable pouches and hit shelves in July.
Smith Design worked closely with The Hain Celestial Group to
extend their top selling baby food brand into the new pouch format. Pouches are
one of several new formats and categories for Earth's Best, whose base line of
baby foods come in classic, glass jars. The Purees feature 9 flavors
combinations encompassing all 3 baby feeding stages.
The brightly colored pouches, fromCheerpackare made from flexible film containing no BPA or phthalates.
They are vibrantly designed with a cheerful backdrop to the wholesome
photo-real illustrations Smith Design created to clearly and quickly
communicate each flavor.
"Moms shop by flavor and stage, so it was important to
clearly differentiate between the 9 variants, and others, as the line
expands," says Martha Seidner, vice president at Smith Design and account
director for the Earth's Best brand. "As for moms interested in feeding
their children organic, they look for the iconic Earth's best brand visuals
which evoke that trust and the expectation of purity and high quality.”
The baby food retails for $2.19- $2.29 and is available at
Whole Foods, Babies R Us, Stop & Shop and other supermarkets where Earth’s
Best is currently sold.
