Filipino chicken-filled buns come four to a frozen, microwavable plastic package that conforms to the product’s shape. Bestaste Siopao Chicken Asado buns from Ramar Foods, Pittsburg, Calif., are meat-filled, round soft-dough buns similar to Chinesechar siu bao(barbecued pork buns). The flexible film package, flexo-printed on both sides, shapes itself around the buns and allows the product to be microwaved to achieve the steam cooking traditionally associated with this dish.
