Ace Hardware, “The Helpful Place,” offers nearly 9,000 products through its
private label program. The spray paint assortment is one such category. The goal
of this package is to create a consistent family appearance across the entire line,
meet the 2017 regulatory updates for aerosol coatings and improve call-outs and
features of the product. The cans allow for ease of fi nding the purpose and color
of each product. The imagery illustrates the color of the spray paint on an item,
which also matches the cap of the can and color box which contains the color.

Switchel is a colonial-era beverage blended from water, apple cider vinegar, ginger and maple syrup. Cide Road developed a brand extension, adding carbonation, fruit juice and botanical essence—calling it Spritzel. This beverage comes in a sleek, 12-oz. aluminum can. Each flavor has been hand-illustrated with fruit and botanics, with the aluminum showing through for an edgy and modern feel. A bright pop of color highlights the flavor pairings. The design includes call outs including “35 Organic calories per can," the USDA organic logo, and a simple statement about the contents: “Sparkling apple cider vinegar drink,” to appeal to a target audience primarily of female purchasers of healthy beverages.

WALMART CANADA
Walmart’s Great Value line aims to provide quality products at an affordable price. To help Canadians celebrate their country’s 150th birthday, Walmart created limited-edition packaging for its Great Value Cola. The Canada 150 packaging is inspired by those animals, landmarks and symbols that are identified as distinctly Canadian, reflecting an appreciation of national culture. The design integrates both the individual cola cans and the 12-can carton. It is printed using a six-color, dry-offset printing process.
