Markenburg International Foods Corporation Joins the association

The Flexible Packaging Association is pleased to announce that Markenburg International Foods Corporation has joined the association. Markenburg established its flexible packaging division in July 2010.
The Flexible Packaging Association’s 2013 FPA Fall Executive Conference will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at The Peninsula hotel in Chicago, Illinois and focus on key opportunities and challenges important to the flexible packaging industry.
To assist FPA members further explore flexible packaging post use alternatives, FPA has developed a framework for establishing Community Flexible Packaging Resource Recovery Project.
To assists FPA members respond to requests from stakeholders for transparent flexible packaging manufacturing information, the FPA commissioned Packaging and Technology Integrated Solutions to conduct research and identify corporate sustainability metrics, including definitions and reporting methods for what should be measured, and how it should be measured.
The efficacies of new and emerging resource recovery technologies identified through the Identification and Assessment of Available Technologies for Materials and Energy Recovery from Flexible Packaging Waste study were analyzed in a series of pilot tests.
