Leviton announces its presence at the 2015 Process Expo taking place at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. from September 15-18. Leviton’s booth (#733) will showcase several of its industrial watertight devices and safety products that provide connectivity and reliability for the food and beverage processing industries. At the expo, Leviton will display its Wetguard® line of watertight wiring devices that includes a comprehensive range of plugs, connectors, inlets, outlets, covers and an industry-first FD Box system that allows for the mounting of single-gang devices in multi-gang configurations.
Wetguard devices are also designed for industrial applications where electrical connections are exposed to wet locations, including areas that can be exposed to an indoor washdown. Leviton’s Wetguard devices maintain corrosion-resistance for ha
rsh processing areas while also possessing International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) watertight and dust-tight enclosure ratings. Leviton will also display its new line of Rhino-Hide® rough service NEMA wiring devices, featuring the highest watertight rating of any device in its class, both submersible (IP68) and suitable for high pressure/high temperature washdown (IP69K). This rugged offering consists of receptacles, plugs and connectors.
“Food and beverage processing environments demand sanitary connections that can withstand heavy washdown, and our new products do an excellent job of serving those needs,” said Michael Mattei, Vice President and General Manager of Leviton Commercial & Industrial. “We are eager to show the advantages of our new devices as we continue to grow in the industrial sector.” To represent its commitment to safety, Leviton will also be exhibiting 30 Amp stainless steel and non-metallic enclosed safety disconnect switches, both boasting NSF certification for hygiene requirements in food and beverage processing. Leviton will also be showcasing its new line of antimicrobial treated switches and wallplates, which have recently been certified by NSF International for sanitation requirements in food handling and processing environments.
