Berry Global Group, Inc. has announced that Jonathan D. (Jon) Rich will retire as Executive Chairman and a Board member, and that the Board has unanimously elected CEO Thomas E. (Tom) Salmon to succeed Rich as Chairman of the Board, each effective February 1, 2018. Salmon has served as a Board member since his appointment as CEO one year ago.
Pregis LLC has invested $1 million in a new 1,000 square foot testing lab for its Grand Rapids, Michigan, blown film manufacturing facility. Lab personnel will be focused on customer needs driven research and development, as well as quality testing.

Sonoco’s president and CEO, M. Jack Sanders, will retire on April 2, 2018, following a 30-year career with the company. Sonoco’s Board of Directors has named Robert C. Tiede, who currently serves as the company’s executive vice president and COO, as CEO-elect. Tiede will join the board of directors upon Sanders’ retirement.
