Constantia Flexibles has announced the appointment of Stephan Kühne as its chief financial officer and member of the management board. He will join the flexible packaging and labels group on August 22, 2016, and succeeds former CFO Peter Frauenknecht.
Kühne is currently CFO of Intersnack Group GmbH & Co. KG, the leading manufacturer of savory snack foods in Europe.

Stephan Kühne has been CFO and managing director of Intersnack Group in Düsseldorf, Germany since 2011. He is responsible for all finance-related topics, human resources, non-commodity procurement, legal, IT, as well as governance, risk and compliance. From 2002-2011, he was member of the executive board and CFO of the international trade fair company Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover, Germany. In 1992, he started his career at the mechanical engineering group Klöckner-Werke AG in Duisburg, Germany, as assistant to the chairman and head of economics department. He then moved to the U.S. in 1995, carrying out different finance roles. He was promoted to CFO of plastic foil specialist Klöckner Pentaplast of America, Inc. in Gordonsville/VA, USA, in 1999.
Stephan Kühne is a graduate in business administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany.
In addition to the CFO appointment, Constantia Flexibles announces that Gerold Riegler, management board member and currently COO, has become chief technology officer (CTO) with immediate effect. The new CTO role better reflects Gerold Riegler’s management responsibilities for capital expenditure, asset and quality management, research and development, as well as health and safety.
