Clondalkin Flexible Packaging has promoted Chris Button to group sales manager for flexibles. Button joined Clondalkin Flexible Packaging six months ago as sales manager for its U.K. lids and shrink sleeves business, Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury.
Across its 11 manufacturing operations, in the U.K., Europe and North America, Clondalkin Flexible Packaging covers all aspects of flexible packaging from extrusion of raw materials, flexo and gravure print, lidding, biodegradable products, skin films, film lamination, coating, metalising and conversion into bags of all types and sizes.
Button joins the group at a time where it is continuing to consolidate its strengths and facilitate cross-selling across the company, enabling customers to access its entire product range with ease, no matter where in the world they are located.
Based in Bury, Button will be responsible for building commercial relationships with flexible packaging users in the U.K.
Throughout his career Chris has been involved in all aspects of the packaging industry from print, materials and material extrusion, pack design, new product development and packing machinery. His speciality includes extended shelf life lidding, laminate structures, oven-based cook films and films used in reseal applications.
"This new role is a great opportunity for us to expand our reach in the U.K. and offer customers a much wider product range,” Button says. "As a fully qualified chef, I have the ability to understand what my clients are trying to achieve from a food perspective. This, added to my packaging and wealth of NPD knowledge, means I will give customers the opportunity to grow their business alongside ours."
