Windmöller & Hölscher manufactured the 1,000 print unit of its HELIOSTAR S gravure press in February at its company headquarters in Lengerich, Germany. The print unit is part of a press being produced for a well-known packaging company in Southeast Asia. Including this press, there are currently more than 100 HELIOSTAR S presses operating at market-leading companies as well as local family businesses in more than 30 countries on all continents.
“Alongside the HELIOSTAR G, the HELIOSTAR S has become one of the leading gravure presses for printing flexible packaging,” says Ulrich Harte, manager business development printing and finishing at W&H in Lengerich.
Key to this success is the expansive flexibility of the machines. The HELIOSTAR S can be tailored to meet company needs and job requirements. Guaranteed quality and cost-effective production are the primary sales points. The HELIOSTAR is available in print widths between 650 and 1700 mm and offers a variety of inking, drive, register control, drying and winding options. Additional optional modules for treaters, anti-static bars and web inspection are also available.
