The Flexible Packaging Association has launched its new website, www.flexpack.org. Association officials say the FPA is committed to connecting, advancing and leading the flexible packaging industry and that the new website is a key communication tool in that quest.

The website's homepage offers a new slideshow feature that focuses on FPA hot topics; a ‘Spotlight’ section that highlights current FPA activities; special call-out areas for specific topics such as the Achievement Awards, the industry collaborative Energy Bag Program and membership information; and sections that focus on recent industry news, the FPA NOWSM, and FPA research and publications.

“FPA offers a wealth of information for our members, stakeholders and the public, and our new site is more streamlined and user friendly, making it easier to find critical information” says Dani Diehlmann, FPA director of communications.

The ‘Industry Information’ section of the website includes business statistics and financial bench marking reports, such as the State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report and the quarterly ‘Pulse of the IndustryReports. This section also features an industry overview, flexible packaging facts and figures, FPA market research and other related resources.

There are several resources to support flexible packaging sustainability on the new website, which can bound  found under the ‘Sustainable Packaging’ section. The section includes categories such as end-of-packaging-use, energy advantages, extended producer responsibility, food waste reduction, source reduction and transparency.

The programs tab highlights key association programs such as the Achievement Awards, Food Waste Reduction, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Regulatory and Legislative, Sustainable Packaging, the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council and Workforce Development.

The ‘Library’ is another new feature which compiles all of the FPA’s resources and publications in one place. In the “Library,’ FPA members will find the FPA publications list, FPA meeting presentations, links to the weekly industry news bulletin, links to the FPA Update, Membership Directory and Flexible Packaging Buyers Guide.
