Imagenet, the graphics services division of Coveris, has announced the acquisition of Rivendell Europe for an undisclosed sum. Providing a range of complementary and extended graphics services, the Leeds-based business supports Imagenet’s continued Europe growth plans and accelerates entry into new and adjacent markets.
Employing 137 staff, Rivendell is one of the industry’s leading providers of photographic, digital and catalogue creation services. With studios in Leeds, Manchester and central London, Rivendell’s photographic expertise in quality photography and shoot management include fast fashion, art direction, product pack-shots and brand imaging. Rivendell’s digital content creation incorporates web pages, e-mail campaigns and imagery from website design to development using the latest technology. And for some of the largest multi-channel retailers, Rivendell is at the forefront of producing artwork and large volume catalogue and promotional materials.
“Rivendell provides an exciting opportunity for Coveris and specifically, Imagenet, our graphics services division”, says Nigel Winteringham, Imagenet’s graphics services director. “The additional capabilities strengthen and extend the services offered by both Rivendell and Imagenet and enhance our complete solutions approach. With a range of high-profile clients, the acquisition of Rivendell supports our shared plans to meet increasing demand across all media, as well as offering more services to new clients.”
The acquisition of Rivendell supports Imagenet’s plans for growth with a vision to become the global supplier of choice for brands and retailers requiring multi-channel content and graphic solutions.
Jim McAulay, Rivendell managing director also commented on the acquisition adding “Imagenet’s acquisition of Rivendell provides a major growth opportunity for both our business and extended services for our clients. With the stability and backing of one of the world’s leading packaging companies, Rivendell customers will benefit from improved products, services and innovation and likewise the services we bring to Imagenet enable us to deliver one of the broadest and most unique graphics model within the European industry.”
The timing of the announcement also coincides with the launch of Imagenet’s new website and UK rebrand. While both Imagenet and Rivendell will continue to trade under their own names, branding will align with Rivendell to highlight and emphasise complementary and supporting services across the two businesses.
