Nordson Corp. has promoted Ken Forden, who previously worked as the vice president and general manager of Nordson EFD, to be general manager of the extrusion and coating die business in the company’s polymer processing product line.

Forden will have worldwide responsibility for the EDI, Verbruggen and Premier product brands.

“Ken’s experience leading a global business and his knowledge of the polymers industry will bring a new thrust to Nordson’s global expansion of its die business,” says John J. Keane, senior vice president.

Forden, who holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University, entered the polymer industry in 1987 as a business development manager with Borg Warner Chemicals. Following the acquisition of Borg Warner Chemicals by General Electric in 1988, he spent 19 years in management positions with GE Plastics. He then worked at Johns-Manville for six years before joining Nordson EFD in 2012.
