Atlapac, a contract manufacturer of pouches, bags and Inno-lok pre-applied zipper film, will add an additional 20,000 square feet to its manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio. The additional space brings the facility close to 100,000 square feet in total size, a move that will increase the company’s material flow and house its new bag making line.

This new B&B MAF pinch-bottom line will feature fold and glued bottom capability, as well as multiple closure options (press to close, hook to hook, etc.).

We are very excited to extend this bag style to our toll converting customers,” says Paul Unrue, president. “Atlapac will be the first true toll converter to operate a B&B MAF side-gusseted pinch-bottom machine. It brings an impressive and exciting addition to our capabilities.”

The pinch-bottom bag offers an affordable way to move into an all-plastic package. Markets include pet foods, fertilizers and chemical products.

Atlapac will also be adding an IRC (instant rebate coupon) line for promotional callouts, meaning it can now label every package manufactured in its plant.
