UPM Raflatac has opened a new self-adhesive label stock slitting and distribution terminal in Chengdu, China. The terminal will supply both film and paper label materials to customers in the Southwest China region.
“The new terminal brings us closer to our customers in the southwest part of China, thus allowing us to offer a wide range of products with shorter lead times," says Jari Haavisto, vice president of UPM Raflatac Greater China. "It also strengthens our commitment to provide excellent customer service and technical support to the customers in the region."
In addition to the new terminal in Chengdu, which is part of UPM Raflatac's expansion program in Asia Pacific, the company's production and sales network in China consists of a self-adhesive label stock factory in Changshu and terminals in Guangzhou and Tianjin and sales offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
